Is Advani Academics right for me?
It’s a fit for most students who want expert support and greater success — a lively, positive environment where we celebrate progress.
Some students just need an little extra edge. Others are really struggling. Many are somewhere in between.
Do you offer subject-specific tutoring, or general academic support?
We offer expert tutoring in physics, environmental science, and mathematics. We offer 60-minute and 30-minute sessions.
We also offer academic coaching (support with organization, goal-setting, and follow-through). Sessions are 60 minutes, 30 minutes or 15 minutes.
We can arrange individual (1-on-1) or group sessions, online or in-person.

What is the cost? Are there scholarships or special pricing available?
Mr. Advani’s rate is $210 per hour for physics, and $160 per hour for other subjects or for academic support.
Advani Academics has a goal of universal access. Several seats are available for reduced-price enrollment to ensure accessibility. If a lower rate makes the sessions possible for your student please let us know.
Can I sit quietly in the sessions and take notes?
Let’s hope not. Our students know that active effort boosts learning. Our sessions are spent getting help, actively solving problems, and answering questions.
If you are looking to sit quietly or a group class where you talk only with the instructor, other programs may suit you better.
What should I bring to class?
For online sessions, students must
- Have reliable internet access with sufficient bandwidth for Zoom videoconferencing.
- Use a laptop or desktop computer with a working camera. (Do not attend sessions on a cell phone/mobile device.)
What do you expect of students?
To make online sessions work best:
- Join the Zoom link at least 2 minutes prior to each session, and stay until the end.
- Participate actively. For group sessions, this includes talking with other students and using the Zoom chat.
- Please keep your camera on and your face in view. If you must pause your video for a moment, use discretion.
